RIMCS Consult conducted a comprehensive Low-Cost Private Schools (LCPS) Market Assessment and Education Finance Research across Northern Ghana to evaluate the demand for education financing and related support services among low-cost private schools, school proprietors, teachers, parents, and guardians. The assignment involved undertaking a school census, developing a comprehensive database of identified low-cost private schools, conducting quantitative and qualitative market research, and assessing the financial needs and constraints affecting access to quality education. The study further examined opportunities for education financing and developed a robust business case for financial institutions to expand sustainable education finance solutions. The findings provided valuable insights to support financial inclusion, improve access to affordable education financing, and strengthen the sustainability of low-cost private schools serving underserved communities.

🌍 Microfinance Institutional Mapping & Financial Inclusion Assessment

RIMCS Consult conducted a nationwide Microfinance Institutional Mapping and Financial Inclusion Assessment under the Rural and Agricultural Finance Programme (RAFiP) to strengthen Ghana’s financial inclusion agenda through evidence-based planning and decision-making. The assignment involved identifying, profiling, and mapping Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) and other rural financial service providers across the country to establish a comprehensive national database and Geographic Information System (GIS). The study assessed institutional outreach, operational capacity, financial sustainability, governance structures, and service delivery models while identifying geographical gaps in access to financial services. The findings provided policymakers, regulators, and development partners with reliable information to support financial sector development, improve access to finance for underserved communities, and guide the design of targeted financial inclusion interventions.

RIMCS Consult led the design and development of a comprehensive Climate Finance Knowledge Hub to support learning, capacity building, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder engagement within Ghana’s climate finance ecosystem. The assignment involved the development of a centralized digital platform that provides access to climate finance resources, training materials, tools, best practices, funding opportunities, and sector knowledge to financial institutions, MSMEs, policymakers, development partners, and climate finance practitioners. The platform was developed to strengthen awareness, improve access to climate finance information, and support the implementation of sustainable finance and climate resilience initiatives in Ghana.

🌦️ Assessment of Ghana’s Hydromet, Agromet and Digital Agro-Advisory Systems

RIMCS Consult in Collabotation with FG&B Technology conducted a nationwide assessment of Ghana’s hydrometeorological and agrometeorological monitoring systems, digital agro-advisory services, pest and disease surveillance systems, and flood and fire early warning mechanisms. The study evaluated the effectiveness of existing forecasting, advisory, surveillance, and information dissemination systems, while assessing institutional capacities, technological gaps, data availability, and opportunities for strengthening climate-smart agricultural services. The assignment provided evidence-based recommendations to support investments in digital agro-advisory services, improve agricultural decision-making, enhance food security, and strengthen climate resilience across Ghana’s agricultural value chains.

The assignment examined the prevalence, nature, causes, and impact of workplace violence and harassment across different sectors and worker groups, providing evidence-based recommendations to support policy reforms, institutional interventions, and improved workplace protection mechanisms.
